At FSG’s Darley Dale site Inspec Solutions have automated the company’s 5600 Tonne Hydraulic Forging Press, its associated furnaces and two robotic manipulators into a single integrated asset all controlled from a single control room, with data collected from all points of the heat treatment and forging process. At FSG’s Sheffield (Meadowhall) site the extrusion presses have also been fully upgraded, replacing the old redundant control systems with new Rockwell Automation PLC & SCADA systems, vastly improving control, fault finding and delivering millisecond level historical reporting of all press and heat treatment operations. This improved quality timing, temperature & force exerted data helps FSG to meet stringent audit trail records for use in their key markets.
