Senior Control Systems Engineer
Job Purpose
The Senior Control Systems Engineer will provide a significant contribution to the delivery of projects within Inspec Solutions. They will be responsible for supporting the project team leader for the full life cycle delivery of their team’s project(s) in both technical and quality compliance while maintaining client satisfaction. The role involves being technically responsible for allocated engineering work delivered on their projects and assisting other junior members of the project team in their works.
Candidates must have experience of working with an end client within the industrial sectors and be competent in the following disciplines:
- Coding, testing and commissioning of various manufacturer’s PLCs/ DCSs
- Coding, testing and commissioning of various manufacturer’s SCADA
- Understanding and implementation of basic Networks
- Electrical Hardware Design
Senior Control Systems Engineer Duties:
- Writing detailed functional design specifications
- Configuration of system architecture, network connections
- Production, modification, testing and commissioning of SCADA & PLC software
- UK Site commissioning (which may involve short periods away from home)
- Capable of mentoring control engineers and taking responsibility for deliverables.
- Attending meetings with clients to discuss the design, surveys, programming, configuration, testing and commissioning.
Senior Control Systems Engineer Requirements:
- Relevant Engineering Degree and/or Electrical qualifications
- Good verbal and written communication
- Previous control system experience ( 4-5 years+ )
- Experience of PLC programming of at least one of – Rockwell / Siemens / Mitsubishi PLCs
- Experience of SCADA development
- Platform: Rockwell FTView, InTouch, WinCC, ClearSCADA, Iconics
- Clean UK Driving License
- Must be eligible to work in the UK

Salary Range: £40k to £50k dependent upon experience
