The project is a Honeywell FSC / Yokogawa replacement system, the solution will be a dual redundant Rockwell Controllogix configuration. The existing Honeywell Fire and Gas detection system (including detector interface cards) will also be migrated into the new safety system and will be kept functionally separate from the ESD. Inspec have already successfully commissioned an upgrade to the platforms existing process control system to a Rockwell controllogix solution.

The current project will allow complete integration of the platforms Process / Fire & Gas detection and Emergency Shutdown Systems into a closely integrated scheme.

The systems all communicate to a Honeywell field wide supervisory system for visualisation back onshore.

The new scheme will be fully commissioned at the end of 2016.

Inspec Solutions have won a project for Perenco’s Bacton Gas Terminal to carry out a project to upgrade an obsolete PLC 5 system with a modern dual redundant Controllogix solution with simplex 1756 I/O.

This process control system controls scrubber levels and processes around a compressor and implements compressor start sequence valve checks. .

The systems all communicate to a Honeywell field wide supervisory system for visualisation back onshore.

The project is due for completion in late 2016.
